Vikram Jaisingh carries a burnt body behind his eyes every waking hour. He is a cop who reads crime scenes the way other people read faces; effortlessly, involuntarily, compulsively. When a young woman named Preethi vanishes on a Hyderabad highway, the case sits at the edge of his jurisdiction and his sanity. Then Neha disappears. Neha, the forensics officer who knows his worst nights. The investigation forces Vikram to keep working without his medication, sharpening every reflex while narrowing his margin for error. The scent of Ittar threads both cases together. His closest colleague knows the trail better than anyone. The one person standing beside him in the dark is also the one who turned off the lights.
